Ajith, Vijay to remake Rajini hits?

IndiaGlitz
[Tuesday, November 28, 2006]

Remaking yesteryear blockbusters is fast becoming a fad in Bollywood. Now the same talk is doing the rounds in Tamil too.

Recently, Vijay confessed to a dream of doing the remake of Rajinikanth hit Murattu Kaalai. Now it is not clear as to who will remake it. But Vijay has expressed the desire for the same.

Elsewhere, Ajith is not left far behind in this remake dream.

Kollywood buzz has it that Ajith maybe doing the remake of Billa soon, for Balaji's son, Suresh Balaji's production.

It maybe recalled that it was Balaji who made the original Billa with Rajini not long ago.

Further, Billa's original, Don, was recently remade in Hindi with Shahrukh Khan.

Who is Vijay' s next director?

Vijay is just completing Pokiri and is all set to start his next film Azhagiya Tamil Makan (ATM) by mid-December for producer Swargachitra Appachan.

Now the big question is after ATM, what next? Perarasu narrated a one-line story to Vijay, which the actor found to be deadly. He is said to have told people close to him that it may give him a new image.

Perarasu and Vijay have been signed more than a year back by London Karuna better known as Ayyankaran, the DVD king of Tamil cinema. They want to start the film in April and Perarasu says that Vijay has given him the green signal to go ahead.

Meanwhile Dharani has been writing a script for Vijay for producer AVM Balasubramaniam and his son Gurunath. Dharani says that Vijay will be doing his film in April after he completes ATM! Dharani also said that Vijay is Kicked about the script.

Will our Ilayathaapathy please clarify, whether he is going to do Perarasu or Dharani film? Well those close to him say he will take a call only after the release of Pokiri!

Appachan's film with Vijay still in doubt

Cinesouth.com

- 24.11.2006

'Azagiya Tamizh Magan' is the name of the film that Vijay is going to work in, for Swargachitra Appachan. There is nothing even remotely beautiful about the way the producer is waiting with his fingers crossed for the film to begin.

Vijay

For more than 18 months, he had been keeping his fingers crossed, hoping that the film would begin sooner or later.

Vijay is working in the Tamil remake of the phenomenal Telugu blockbuster, 'Pokiri'. Dance director Prabhudeva makes his debut in Tamil as a director with this film. Vijay was supposed to work in Appachan's film as soon as he completes 'Pokiri'. The film was delayed for a long time because he ended up getting into a misunderstanding with the director.

The film is supposed to be Vijay's January 2007 release. So, he is going to be very busy with completing the film.

Rumors have started that Appachan's film just might not begin in December either!

Will Vijay's grace save A M Rathnam?

Behindwoods.com
Nov 22, 2006

Financial crises are not quite unheard of in the industry, particularly among the producers who are at the receiving end when a movie fails to generate expected revenues at the box office.

Talking about crisis, A M Rathnam seems to be experiencing a difficult phase owing to financial difficulties with the back-to-back failures of his movies.

A couple of his Telugu movies fall flat at the box office recently. Adding fuel to the fire, Tamil movies proved no less with Dharmapuri miserably failing and though the movie was fairly good, KD did not generate enough money either. Owing to this, his Bheema is abandoned half way through for lack of funds.

Under these circumstances, Rathnam seems to have recently caught up with Vijay and addressed all the financial crises that haunt him. It is reported that he had sought Vijay's call sheet to rescue himself from the current situation. Though Vijay did not answer immediately,
neither did he turn down the request. Does that mean that he is contemplating?

Vadivelu's comedy --- a highlight of Pokiri

IndiaGlitz
[Tuesday, November 21, 2006]

Vadivelu is among the most popular personalities with the young group in the State.

But the ace comedian is afraid that the modern generation is under lot of stress and strain and hence is unable to focus on finer things in life. He feels comedy can give them a good footing in life.

It is this abiding idea that is behind his comedy in Vijay starrer Pokiri.

Pokiri is among the big films for release this Pongal day.

With Vijay and Asin in the leads, it is already a blockbuster in the making.

Now Vadivelu's comedy is expected to provide an icing on the cake.

'It will be targeted at the youth. It will be a humor that will appeal to them,' Vadivelu says.

Meanwhile, Vadivelu who is a hero in his own right after Imsai Arasan has not exactly taken a call on whether to act as a hero again.

Though there is mounting pressure and too many offers, Vadivelu haven't made up his mind.

It will be a momentous decision, and cannot be an easy joke --- even for a comedian, that is.

For all Vijay fans... A humble request!!!

What I am going to speak about now is a serious matter. I don't know how many of you will take it in the right sense. But just think about it once.

Today I was watching "Ini Achamillai Achamillai" show in Jaya TV. The topic was about "Fans of cinestars and their fanatism" When I started watching it, a Vijay fan was being interviewed. U ppl mite be knowing that actress Lakshmi is hosting the show.

She asked that fan about what he does during every film release. He was telling like cutouts, banners, paal abishekam etc. Lakshmi asked "Have u fed atleast one child in ur area with milk one day?? How many children are suffering from hunger? Don't u feel that u can do something for them?" The guy was speechless and had nothing to say.

Later his mom and sister were in the show telling how that guy fights with his father and others at home in his extremist fanatism. Now, this is not a comedy show or a drama to laugh at... Its the fact!!!

There are people who forget their family, responsibilites, career etc and fight with others for silly things proving that their actor is the best ever in the industry. Now wats the use of all these?? The actors' No.1 or No.2 is decided by the industry and their films' run. No poll or a fight in the forum can change that.

There were psychological facts discussed like its the fire to achieve and desire to make it big in life that makes us inspired by heroes. It was there right from time of warriors. And moreover, those who earn enough and are packed with day to day work do not involve in these fan club celebrations.

They watch films as an entertainment and enjoy it and of course their thalaivar on-screen. Maximum they will do is, post a review on the net. Its the burning desire within underprivileged or lesser priviledged people, to project themselves as heroes before others, that makes them spend whatever money they get in all these ways.

Now understanding these basic things, finally what do we ppl get by all these?? A satisfaction that we have won over them?? This "we" and "them" is what spoils sleep of many fans. U like an actor, watch him on screen, admire him, join his fans communities, share your thoughts on him, enjoy your time and full stop.

Anything apart from these is a waste of time and energy. For that matter, Vijay has told repeatedly in his interviews, "Don't waste money in the name of cutouts and paal abishegam. Feed the poor in your area with that money. Get books for school children. And remember always, ur profession, your family and finally only Vijay and my movies."

How many of us have understood this? There is only a blind following and many are not followers by virtue or by deeds. The final words from today's show are golden words for every fan like us. "One who realises himself and his potential is the one who succeeds in life. All your favorite heroes whom u worship have done this and realised themselves. If each and every citizen does this, our country will be full of heroes"

It may sound philosophical and even foolish also to many. But sit and think about it and if u feel it is right, spread this message. A packet of milk on a cutout can serve for hunger of 2 kids of a poor family. The cost of cutout or banner erected for showing your hero's power will educate one(or even two) kids of a poor family.

Do more to ur family and ur fellow humans in the name of your actor. That gives him more star power than the cutout or milk or beer u buy for him, wasting your money. You star will anyways be powerful as he is, whether you do these or not.

Come out of dream world, face the reality. If atleast one fan changes his mind after reading this, I would be happy for typing such a long post. :-) Thanks for patience reading if you have come till here.... Hoping a different welcome from your side for Pokkiri. :-) Vijay Vaazhga!!!

Thanks,
Karthik

A recap of Vijay's Cine Biography...

"It's not a cinematic face at all....it's simply a tinplate....the mouse-like thing that is his face..." these were some of the most devastating and negative type of criticism lavished upon Vijay once upon a time when he had had just stepped into cinefield as newface artist! It's only after boldly facing all such odds and insults that 'young super star' Vijay has reached the pinnacle of highest fame and popularity he's enjoying now!
He got introduced into film-acting through the Tamil film directed by his father S.A.Chandrasekaran. While acting in the film, one day in the sets, an assistant director made fun of Vijay saying that the latter's face just looked like a mouse! This comment, as it was made, didn't fail to reach Vijay's ears too! But he simply took it rather sportively and didn't get angry at all! Instead he began putting in hard-work and saw that his acting career gradually got elevated to the top spot, as far as newcomers are concerned, in cine industry!

One of the consequences of this sudden growth is that he earned the name of "the emperor of (revenue) collection" ("vasool chakravarthy") even as early as his 17th film itself! Cinema Distributors gathered together and announced: "Vijay's films have the same kind of reception and revenue collection as Rajinikanth and Kamalhassan's films do have! So we remove ceiling method for getting distribution rights for his films!".

Vijay always remains very simple without the least trace of any affected manners or pretence! Rather he's very affectionate towards one and all and shows special respect and regards to parents and elders! He worships with gratitude those who are responsible for his present level of development in life! First of all his father S.A.Chandrasekaran, mother Shoba, then actor Vijayakanth----like this his list of people who lend him great help in his formative period in cinema is getting on extended!

Vijay was born on June 22 as son to the lovers turned life-partners S.A.Chandrasekaran and Shoba! Vijay also had an younger sister by name Vidya, but the latter died quite unexpectedly! S.A.Chandrasekaran has directed so far 50 films in different languages. Shoba has directed "Nanbargal" and "Innisai Mazhai".

Vijay who's a drop-out from an incompleted B.Sc. Visual Communications course in Chennai Loyola College, got introduced as newface hero through the Tamil film "Naalaiya Theerppu", directed by his father S.A.Chandrasekaran. Vijay, who treats actor Vijayakanth as his affectionate elder brother, remains a staunch fan of Super Star Rajinikanth. Among actresses Meena, Gajol and Madhuri Dixit are his favourites.

When Vijay was acting in "Deva", during the shooting of a particular action sequence, without asking for a dupe artist, he himself jumped down from a terrace, and thus greatly stunned the viewers who had assembled there, with his act of valour! While acting in "Chandralekha" he got leg injury and managed acting in the subsequent shots as a lame person. It's Vijay's habit to attend punctually his shooting schedules! "Punctuality is the most important thing"--this's an advice by his father. Also Vijay hasn't so far been trapped into any nasty gossips of derogatory kind.

His hit films like "Poove Unakkaaka", "Love Today", 'Nerukku Ner", "Once More", "Kaathalukku Mariyathai", "Ninaiththen Vanthaai", "Yentrentrum Kaathal" and "Thullaatha Manamum Thullum" have, one after the other, made easy the cineworld success-journey of Vijay. Rajinikanth once showered upon him his heart-felt felicitations saying: "You have got God's great help. Work hard and you can attain still greater levels of development in future".

In a theatre in Chennai, the victory celebration of the film "Poove Unakkaaka" took place. Tamilnadu Chief Minister Kalaignar Karunanidhi participated in it and gave away the shield to Vijay. This is considered by Vijay as the most fortunate omen in his career and he has now started lending various helps to the needy poor through his fans' association.

When asked "Whether such acts of lending assistance to the poor is anything like laying the foundation for Vijay's future entry into politics?", he replies: "No, no...If one is born as a human being, it becomes his bounden duty to do good to other fellow beings! I'm doing only that! I would remain, until the last, an actor liked by all!"

Unmistakable outlook and a crystal clear expression of views----that's the mark of this success hero, Vijay!

Prabhu Deva all praise for Rajini

IndiaGlitz
[Friday, November 17, 2006]

Prabhu Deva cannot be more happy.

Right now he is directing Vijay for Pokiri. Simultaneously he is choreographing a song in Sivaji for Rajinikanth.

Prabhu Deva is tongue-tied by the simplicity and the total lack of ego on the part of Rajini. "He stands before us everyday as if this is his first day at shoot. He is so full of simplicity," the dancing beanpole says in awe.

"He is a thorough gentleman and a nice human being," he adds.

Meanwhile, Prabhu Deva is also happy with the way his Pokiri with Vijay is shaping up.

"Vijay has turned in a measured performance and it is a delight to work with him," he says.

Prabhu Deva also speaks very highly of Vijay's dancing skills. "He is a pocket power house,"Prabhu Deva remarks.

After Pokiri, Prabhu Deva hasn't decided what he would do. "I have never planned anything. Things just happen," he points out.

Shades of Vijay in Pokkiri

Lots of laughter, loads of fun, and hard work in the midst. That is what it looks like in the sets of Pokkiri. The crew under the captaincy of Prabhudeva is making the most out of the time while striving hard to add on another hit to the credentials of Vijay and Prabhudeva. The shooting spot definitely does not substantiate to the rumors that Vijay and Prabhudeva did not get along well.
Vijay & Asin
Vijay – Prabhudeva the perfect dance package

As we all know, Prabhudeva is acclaimed nationwide for his bone flexing dancing skills. On the other hand, Vijay is no less. He is one of the heroes in Tamil cinema who can dance exceptionally well. His dance moves need no prelude. Their combination definitely means that more than a few catchy dance numbers will be present in the movie. Director Prabhudeva echoes our thought and promises that the New Year will see the channels parading back to back with songs from Pokkiri.

The shoot schedules of the movie are wrapped up except for a few songs. For the songs though, Prabhudeva is meticulously planning with Vijay owing to the expectations geared up among the public. It sounds promising and not as an overstatement when Prabhudeva commented about the songs and dance of the movie. Apart from that, the entire movie will travel in a certain sense of rhythm, promises Prabhudeva – a trick he probably derived from his dancing background.

Shades of Vijay

Pokkiri, as per Prabhudeva, is a fun filled entertainer with all the promising aspects to make the movie a commercial hit – just the way it was in Telugu. Prabhudeva seemed to have unleashed Vijay’s complete potential in Pokkiri. Vijay will be in his never-seen-before role in Pokkiri and the romantic, fast, easy, and funny shades that Vijay portray will be a highlight of the movie, Prabhudeva confides. We agree he is that all and probably above, Vijay that is.
Vijay & Asin
Rest of the cast

Vadivelu is cast apart Vijay yet again to tickle our senses. Prakashraj, Napoleon, and Nasser are the other stalwarts in Pokkiri. Of course we all know that Asin shakes her booty with Vijay and Prabhudeva assures the romantic numbers to be disarming. The opening scene of Vijay and Asin in the lift is another added highlight of the movie, Prabhudeva declares.
Vijay
Out when?

Pokkiri is expected to hit the screens all over early next year. It could well be for the Pongal festive season. Bite your nails and wait folks for the extravaganza that the crew is about to bring onscreen in the name of Pokkiri.

Praising Surya, shy Vijay...

Here is the news released in Tamil Murasu dated 15th Nov 2006.

While studying in college Vijay and Surya were good friends. Due to their good relationship they have acted in Nerukku Ner and Friends. Later they didn't act togather. Vijay was talking to Surya who sat near him during the audio launch of Karthi's Paruthiveeran which is directed by Ameer. Vijay and Surya said they didn't share talks for a long time due to their busy shooting schedules.

When Surya spoke, he said "I have learnt lots of things from my friend Vijay. Vijay used to always say that... Mathavangalukku theengu seiyum oru chinna punnagai-ai vide, Mathavangalukku theengu seiyatha amaithi evvalavo mel (Silence that doesn't disturb others is far better than a small smile that could hurt others). That words are inspiration for me. I still practising his words" said Surya. Vijay's face was shy when Surya said so.

Vijay's next projects: Hopeful heroines and producers

Looks like Vijay fans can expect promising outcome from their star in the days to come if the projects that are queued up for his consent are anything to go by. Though Vijay is currently busy and is working two shifts a day for his Pokkiri, which brings Prabhudeva's talent as a director to Tamil Nadu, he constantly receives offers that are irresistible from bigwigs in the industry for bagging his dates.

Pokkiri
Perarasu recently joined the list of Vijay date-seekers. He recently announced that his next movie – after the Diwali disaster Dharmapuri – would be with Vijay. He has had a couple of hits with Vijay namely Thiruppachi and Sivakasi. The movies were well received at the box office, which we assume had given him hopes to hunt for Vijay's dates.

Progressing Pokkiri

Pokkiri, with Asin in the lead, is on the verge of completion. The shoots are being carried out at top gear and opinion differences between the director Prabhudeva and Vijay seemed to have eased out. The crew is all set to pull off a blockbuster just the way the movie did in Telugu. Pokkiri is likely to be released by the end of 2006 or during the beginning of 2007. Though these are only unsubstantiated reports, only an official announcement will set things right.
Vijay
Azhagiya Tamil Magan

To comply with an old promise, Vijay took up Azhagiya Tamil Magan produced by Appachan, which will kick off right after Pokkiri. If you may remember our earlier reports, Appachan, noted producer in Mollywood requested for Vijay's dates when the hit movie Friends – which in turn was a Malayalam remake produced by Appachan himself – was being made. The movie will have Sivaji Shreya in the lead and will be directed by Bharathan, an associate of Dharani. Rahman scores music for the second time for a Vijay flick after Udhaya.

AVM Balasubramanian' s project

Recent reports suggest that Vijay will star in the production venture of AVM Balasubramanian from the AVM family who parted ways with the studios. Dharani will direct the as yet untitled movie and the director's choice Vidya Sagar will score music for the movie. As reported by us earlier, Trisha leads the race of heroines for this movie followed by Asin.
Vijay
Perarasu's position in the list

It is learnt that the Perarasu movie will take off only after Vijay's commitment with the above said movies are over. Perarasu assured that the movie would comply with all the commercial values of Tamil cinema and will be an end-to-end entertainer. The movie will be produced by Ayangaran International that holds the overseas rights for many hit movies. Perarasu has singled out his lucky mascot Srikanth Deva to score music.

With that it is concurred that Vijay will be busy till the end of 2008. The star may definitely need a sabbatical after the completion of all these movies to rejuvenate his energy and revitalize himself.

Rajni in Vijay’s office

Behindwoods.com
Nov 14, 2006

Generally, an office is said to portray or reflect the character or personality of its inhabitants. People tend to view this in diverse fashion.

But in Kollywood, which is the dream factory for many people, an office of an actor would generally adhere to a standard norm of displaying the trophies won, stills of super hit films or pictures of their childhood or their families.
Vijay
In short the office would directly indicate the attitude of the person concerned. Of course, there are no hard and fast rules regarding this.

But the office of Ilayathalapathy Vijay sports a totally different look in terms of the contents displayed.

In addition to his shields and the usual paraphernalia, there are some recent additions. The walls of his office are adorned with pictures of Superstar Rajnikanth and Vijay shot together during many filmi festivals and occasions. It is indeed a different sight not to be missed when one visits Vijay’s office.

Vijay’s rival in dance

In Indian films, whether it is Kollywood or Bollywood or Mollywood, dances are an integral part which the film makers cannot do without. These days many of the aspiring actors make it a point to enroll themselves in dancing school not only to learn different techniques in dancing but also to perfect their style.

Vijay
In our films the dance sequences are shot in a beautiful manner to go along with the accompanying songs.

In Kollywood, the very mention of dance reminds us of Ilayathalapathy Vijay. He is known for his dancing skills and the graceful movements that go with it. But there is somebody who just imitates his dance movements to the core. It is none other than his son Sanjay who is awed by his dad’s gyrating skills. When songs from Vijay’s films are shown on TV, he immediately waltzes just like his dad.

So, a competitor is already born and that too in the same family. Needless to say, the proud father is watching his son with a lot of pride in his eyes.

Heroines twitchy over Dharani & Vijay combination

Behindwoods.com
Nov 10, 2006

AVM Balasubramaniam, who parted ways with the AVM family had decided to produce a movie on his own. He has approached Vijay in the process who in turn declined the offer blaming his commitments.

Vijay

Following this, Balasubramaniam considered signing Vishal for his venture. In the meantime –God knows what happened between – Vijay freed himself from his commitments and promised dates for the movie.

The as yet untitled movie, which will be directed by Dharani, will kick off after Azhagiya Tamil Magan. While Vijay is busy shooting for his Pokkiri, Dharani and his team are busy finalizing the cast and the rest of the members of the crew. Now that the movie is on the verge of official commencement, heroine hunt is at a fast pace.

Heard that Trisha, Asin, Bhavana, and Nayantara are the pretty contenders for the hot seat. Shreya is blissfully contented with the offer for Azhagiya Tamil Magan. It is reported that Trisha, who item numbered for Dharani’s Telugu film Bangaram upon his promise to star her in his next Tamil venture, is leading the race.

News is expected soon as to who will be the lucky damsel.

Prabhudeva slams rumors of tussle with Vijay

Behindwoods.com
Nov 09, 2006

He was the yesterday's promising star who decided to confine himself behind the cameras. Surprisingly, his directorial talents surpassed his acting excellence pulling off hits after hits at the box office. You guessed it right, we are talking about Prabhudeva. Ever since his Pokkiri with Vijay in the lead started rolling, rumors too started to do rounds about his alleged disagreement with Vijay.

Pokkiri

Prabhudeva, however, feels funny to read the gossip columns published in tabloids about his reported fall out with Vijay. It has been reported that Prabhudeva's late arrival to the sets chagrined Vijay.

But Prabhudeva has another account. We are happy to be associated with each other, he declared. Vijay has tremendous potential and our Pokkiri will definitely prove to be a monstrous hit as it was in Telugu, Prabudeva added. I welcome criticism only when it strikes a positive chord.

It is my nature to shrug off the negative criticism and concentrate on my work to move forward, he asserted. We are getting along well and have tremendous rapport, Prabhu confessed.

Whatever, we will be happy to see our bone-flexing dancer dude in a director's robe first time in Telugu. On that subject, Pokkiri is progressing in top gear and is slated for an early 2007 release.

Prabhu Deva is poised

IndiaGlitz
[Thursday, November 09, 2006]

Rumors of a 'cold war' between director Prabhu Deva and actor Vijay in the sets of Pokiri were rampant not long ago.

However Prabhu Deva has put an end to all gossip, denying any difference of opinion between them.

Addressing media person in Hyderabad, Prabhu Deva, heaping laurels on Vijay, said, 'He is a good actor to work with. His dedication and commitment deserve a special mention'.

He denied reports that appeared in some sections of the press that he turned up late for shooting and often quarreled with the actor over shooting a sequence.

'They are baseless reports. We have been striving hard to come out with a real entertainer. Such rumors will not deter us from achieving our mission'.

Pokiri starring Vijay and Asin is a remake of a Telugu film titled the same.

It is expected to hit the screens this Pongal.

Pokiri, interestingly, also has a special dance sequence featuring Vijay and Prabhu Deva.

This should be great feast for the fans.

Vijay's sequence with Lawrence Raghavendra in Thirumalai was outstanding.

Now Pokiri can be expected to better that.

We had told in our website some time back that Vijay loves to watch a lot of old films in his home theatre. In fact, whenever he can grab some free time from his tiring schedule, he de-stresses himself by watching a lot of old movies.

His favorites in Tamil include films of Sivaji, M.G.R., Rajni and Kamalhassan. He has been watching Rajni’s Payum Puli, Kamal’s Sakala Kala Vallavan, M.G.R’s Ulagam Sutrum Vaaliban, Kudiyirunda Kovil and Sivaji’s Deiva Magan etc. Vijay is not satisfied just by watching these films once. He repeatedly sees these movies.

He also makes note of the salient features of these films which have rendered them a great hit. He observes with an experienced eye of a critic the entertainment values of the films that make it stand out from the rest of the crowd.

He does not fail to analyze the fact about the way these films have catered to the audience. The way things are going, the days are not far off when Vijay would be calling the shots as director.

Vijay Special - Old Wine in New Bottle

Animation courtey: vijayonline@yahoogroups.com
Vijay

Joseph Vijay was born to a beautiful, happily married couple S. A. Chandrasekharan and Shoba Chandrasekharan on 22nd June 1974.

"The fans have now christened me as Ilayathalapthy. I was not a prodigy or a genius in academics who left my studies to pursue acting. I was just an average school kid who had a great passion for acting in films. When I told my folks about what I wanted to do for my living, there was a small storm at home and they were kind of taken aback. But finally they gave me the permission to discontinue my Bachelors Degree of Visual Communications at Loyola College and pursue acting in films."

"I entered the industry without any struggle. Otherwise I would have had to approach several companies and scout for opportunities. Having a father as a Director and a writer-cum-producer -cum director as a mother made my entry into films made life easy for me. Finally I made my debut into the industry in 1992."

"From their I went on do films, some of them were block busters, some of them were the opposite if it. But then there is no such perfect success formula for making the perfect movie."

"And then I met the love of my life Sangeetha, now my wife, we got married in August 1999, we have also been blessed with a son. There is pretty much nothing to say about myself."

"I am basically an introvert. Still just an ordinary guy who spends time with my friends Sajai, Srinath, Sanjeev, Manoj and Ramkumar. And about my favorites nothing much to say there either, my tourist spot being London and Los Angeles."

"I love non vegetarian food and I am comfortable in Jeans and T-Shirt. Last but not the least I am a strong believer in the Almighty and I believe I have been guided"

Vijay and AVM to come together

Behindwoods
Nov 04, 2006

The reputed A V M films have been approaching Vijay to feature in a film produced by them. Vijay was also very keen about this. But as his diary is filled with many commitments running for a long period, he was not able to fulfill this.

Vijay's film with AVM has been continuously getting postponed due to his other commitments. But as they say, when the right time comes, everything will fall into place automatically. This time has indeed arrived.

As per the latest buzz, Vijay will be doing a film with AVM shortly. Talks are going on to finalize this agreement. It sure would be an interesting combination when Ilaya Thalapathy Vijay and AVM films come together for a film. AVM is renowned for their films on family and value themes while Vijay is popular for action cum romantic roles.

When these two contrasting forces unite in a joint venture, the screen is bound to spark. Meanwhile AVM has also planned to rope in Vishal for another project.

Vijay’s Puli to kick off again?

S.J. Surya, for a change, decided to don the role of a director and stay behind the camera for his Puli. This was long time ago and he even approached Vijay with the script, eager to repeat the Kushi history. However, for reasons unknown the project was shelved and Vijay is now busy shooting for his Pokkiri.

In the meantime, S.J. Surya also got busy with his Vyabari and Tirumagan, which made his almost forget about the script of Puli. But we assume he had a thought in the back of his mind though.

He seems not to be happy in leaving a good script stay idle. Guess what? He decided to do the movie himself and star in the same. Not to worry folks, the movie will only take off after the releases of Vyabari and Tirumagan. So, we do have time to relax before he hit us with another Puli. What say?

Pokkiri Songs - Sure to rock the charts

Vijay's fans who are eagerly awaiting the audio release and movie release of the upcoming blockbuster 'Pokkiri' are surely in for a mega treat as the music of Pokkiri is shaping out extremely well. Here we take you for a ride into the movie's musical score handled by Manisharma, the guy behind the famous 'Aal Thotta Bhoopathy' from Vijay's Youth.

Prabudeva had the visuals of all the situations for the songs ready and has accquired the 6 tunes from Manisharma based on them. Each song is different in its own sense and would definitely be liked by Vijay's fans when the audio releases and will surely grasp the audio market

All the tunes from the movie are going to be fresh ones, and no tunes from the original version are going to be used for the Tamil version.

The opening song of Pokkiri is going to rock the theatres and would definitely send Vijay's fans into a frenzy just like Vijay's earlier opening songs like 'Vaada Vaada Thozha', Nee Entha Ooru", etc. The opening song goes like this:

Aadungada Enna Suththi
Naan Ayyanaaru Vettu Katti
Paada poren enna paththi
Kelungada Vaaya poththi....

For one of the other songs, a huge set was erected at AVM studios resembling that of a ship. The set was erected by Kadhir. Here, the song featuring Mumait Khan and Vijay was shot. Prabudeva kept improvising to the steps given by Dance master Sridhar for this song and the whole unit had a great time shooting for this song. The song's lyrics goes on like this

En Chella Peru Apple, Enna Lesa Kadichikko
En Sondha Ooru Ooty, Ennai sweater ah pottuko...

The audio is going to be released very soon and would surely be a hit among the masses and Vijay's fans in particular!

All in all, after reading the article, one of Vijay's most famous dialogues from his mega blockbuster 'Ghilli' comes to mind

Kalakkarom, Jeikkarom

Inevitable addition in Vijay’s baggage

Vijay flies quite often to exotic European locales owing to the shoots of his duets with pretty lead ladies. What is new is that he has found an interest to entertain himself and in turn benefit out of it.

Vijay

He makes sure that his baggage inevitably includes his handy cam. If you thought he wants to film the breathtaking locations, you are mistaken.

He has another interesting motive behind carrying his cam with him though. He films the architectural splendor of the locations. The houses and buildings that prevail in the area are locked by Vijay in his camera. He does have an interest in architecture; on the other hand, his intention is only to recreate them in his dream palaces.

He intends to utilize the designs that captures his eyes and heart – which we hope is not patented – in his future building projects. We assume that sooner or later the Chennai lot can witness the magnificence of colonial architecture.
