Vijays wins Trisha over Simbu !
March 31, 2007
Many heroines were approached to feature as Simbu's love interest in his forthcoming film Kaala. Initially Trisha was a strong contender for this role and an affirmation from her was considered just a formality. In the beginning it was thought that she had some call sheet problem.
But reliable sources reveal that a film with Vijay and Dharani proved to be a stronger enticement for this lady which kept her away from Kaala. Therefore the team of Kaala was forced to look for another heroine for their film.
Now according to the grapevine Genelia of Boys and Sachin fame has accepted to play the Simbu's heroine in Kaala. This will be Simbu's film after Vallavan and is being directed by Tarun Gopi of Thimiru fame. Harris Jeyaraj scores the music for the film and R D Rajashekar will be responsible for cinematography department. Now another heroine is being scouted for Simbu's next film 'Kettavan'.

Trisha joins Ghilli team
March 23, 2007
Everything was in place for the fairytale reunion of a hugely successful team. Dharani, Vijay and Vidyasagar had already decide that it was time for Round 2 and the only person missing from the days of Ghilli was Trisha; well, not any more. She has joined the party.
We had earlier reported the coming together of Dharani, Vijay and Vidyasagar for a movie that will commence after Azhagiya Thamizh Magan. Udayanithi, grandson of CM M.Karunanidhi will be producing this film. Udayanithi has already thrown a party to mark the confirmation of the project. Now that Trisha too has joined in, the work has started.
It is being said that Vidyasagar has already finished composing one song for the movie. The official launch of this movie is expected to be held on the Tamil New Year's Day. Looking at the scheduled start of the movie it can be expected to hit screens for Pongal 2008.
What is the movie going to be like? Well, when the Ghilli team comes together there is only one thing that the movie can be; racy entertainer.

The handsome actor expressed his desire to foray into Mollywood as well at a function held in Thiruvananthapuram the other day.
The function had been got up to celebrate the spectacular success his latest movie Pokkiri has been enjoying in Kerala. The grapevine has it that `Pokkiri' has completed 80 days in a theatre in the Kerala capital.
Needless to say, the film has become a smashing hit in Kollywood, putting Vijay right back into the top. So, the Mammoottys, Mohanlals and Suresh Gopis had better watch out! Vijay is eyeing their territory.

Vijay's visit was in connection with the 75th day celebrations of his box office hit `Pokkiri.' Malayalam actors Suresh Gopi and Kunchakko Boban and MLA V. Pokiri in celebration mode
[Monday, March 19, 2007]
Vijay is happy that Pokkiri has sustained its good run.
A thrilled Vijay, taking part in a function organized to celebrate the successful run of Pokkiri in Salem recently, said, "I am careful about doing good movies in future to keep myself going in the industry."
"Pokkiri's success has certainly made me more responsible. All credit should go to director Prabhudeva," he adds.
Asked whether he would act with Ajith again, the actor says, "Why not? If the script demands both of us in the cast, we would certainly do it."
"For the first time, I am acting in a thriller movie. Azhagiya Thamizh Magan is a thriller which is quite different from my earlier movies. Shooting is on and the movie would be released this August."
The movie features Shreya and Namitha opposite Vijay with musical score by AR Rahman.
Vijay's Heir Apparent in dancing
March 19, 2007
It takes a lot to come out in praise of a fellow actor, especially when it is considered to be a rare phenomenon in Tami cinema. However, looks like Vijay has evolved out of this cultural barrier.
In the audio release event of Madurai Veeran held in Chennai on March 18, 2007 at the Satyam theatres, Vijay was all praises for Jithen Ramesh who plays the lead. Vijay released the first copy of the audio, which was received by Jeyam Ravi, Jeeva, Bharath, Sibi, and Arun Vijay after which trailer of the movie was exhibited for the audience. Trailer was released by Film Chamber head K.R.G, Producer Council Supremo Rama Narayanan, and Distributors Council head Arulpathy and received by Bhagyaraj.
Vijay, after being obviously impressed with the dancing skills of Ramesh, in his address said that Ramesh's dance performance is remarkable. "He is really good at it and I wish him all the best," stated the actor. "I had earlier seen him in Jithen and he has improved quite a lot with this. He will be someone to look forward to in the future," declared Vijay. Given the dancing prowess of Vijay, his applaud is worth a mention in Jithen's profile; agree?
The event was also attended by Srikanth Deva, Vincent Selva, Perarasu, Amir, Jananathan, producers Sayed, and R.B. Chaudhury.
Vijay releases 'Maduraiveeran' songs
- 19.03.2007
Maybe director Vincent Selva wanted to conduct a function with light effects of a Mani Ratnam film. The audio release of 'Maduraiveeran' was done in dim lighting.
|
The trailer and audio release took place at Chennai's Sathyam theatre. Thanks to electricity problems, only 2 focus lights worked as the function took place.
Aparna and Swati lit the lamp and started the function. Since young heroes from Ilaya Dalapati to Sibiraj were gathered on the dais, the fans had a merry time whistling in appreciation. The cassette was released by Vijay and accepted by Jayam Ravi, Bharath, Jeeva and Sibiraj. The trailer was released by KRG, director of Film Chamber.
Director Ameer was also present at the function and VIPs spoke about the success of 'Paruthiveeran' and how 'Maduraiveeran' would also do well, pleasing both directors Ameer and Vincent Selva.
Vijay said, "I like Ramesh's dancing talent. I always enjoy watching him dance." This made Ramesh beam in joy.
Producer Ramanarayanan, directors Perarasu, Jananathan and Bhagyaraj spoke well of the film's trailer.
