The Vijay- Trisha starrer Kuruvi directed by Dharani and produced by Udayanidhi Stalin`s `Red Giant movies', celebrated its 150 days run at Park Sheraton in Chennai on Saturday evening (Oct 4).
The special guests at the evening were K.Balachandar, who made a lengthy speech praising Udayanidhi Stalin and Tamil Film Producers Council chief Ramanarayanan.
Udayanidhi Stalin`s simplicity and down-to-earth nature was evident at the function as he received the trophy from KB sir
Surya, Udayanidhi`s next hero also came for the function though Nayanthara who is also a part of that film was conspicuous by her absence
Vivek as usual was in his elements including narrating a tongue-in-cheek funny story featuring his favourite punching bag Trisha.
There was speculation early in the evening whether Trisha would come for the function as she is not on best of terms with the hero of the film.
But half way through the function, Trisha and her mom Uma along with her best friends consisting of Ramya Krishnan and her sister Vini made a dramatic entry
Trisha said that she was in Hyderabad and had to rush back to attend the function
Udayanidhi went out of his way to make everybody comfortable, as nearly 1500 people including fans of Ilayathapathy turned up for the function. In Pic: Sibiraj with wife , mom and Venkat Prabhu.
As everyone was praising Vijay throughout, the actor was seen in his usual pensive mood
