Vijay and Ajith are great friends!
they do not hurt each others' fans!
Recently, in one such display of care for Vijay's fans, Ajith changed the name of Aegan's villain. In Aegan, actor Suman (who re-emerged in Kollywood with Sivaji) plays the villain and his onscreen name is Joseph Chinnappa. When Ajith came to know about this, he requested director Raju Sundaram to change the character's name. When he found a perplexed look on Raju's face, he explained that his friend and actor Vijay's full name is Joseph Vijay and that he does not want to
hurt or irate his fans by naming his film's villain after him – no matter even if it is a lesser-known first name of Ilayathalapathy. In a similar fashion, Vijay too painstakingly looks for any factor, which could irate Ajith fans, and eliminates it from his films! Phew!
Well, these stars are so cordial to each other that they do not treat each other as rivals even on the silver screen! Then why do we fans try to compare them, create an imaginary rivalry between them, and then lament that Kollywood has lesser "double-hero" films than
Bollywood. Maybe, it is us – the highly sensitive fans – who are the reason for frontline Kollywood heroes not acting together!

Vijay - "Villu is shaping up well"
I am an ardent visitor of BW. I personally feel anything published on your site will reach millions of hearts. Recently IlayaThalapathy Vijay came to Tuticorin for shooting of his movie Villu. He was put up in Satya Resorts and no banners were kept in order to reduce the crowd during shooting time.
But still a huge crowd came to watch Vijay, and shooting didn't take place for 2 days. A chase scene was planned to take in Tiruchendur Bye-pass road and a song sequence in Manapaadu, a seashore area. I took much pains to meet Vijay, but I couldn't meet him.
On a fine day morning when we went to Satya resorts, we saw Vijay walking out of his room as usual in his casual looking wear. The gardeners who were working there felt happy on seeing him. He smiled, waved hands and wished them. You could see the smiling faces of those gardeners in the photo also. And when we went near him, the time was almost 9 and it was late for shooting. But yet he took 2 photos with us patiently and said "Villu is shaping up so good. Do watch it with family", and as usual bid us good bye with his trade mark smile.
While taking the photo, I was just standing at a distance, but Vijay came close and put his hands over my shoulder- just like my close pal and took it. No words to describe his humbleness.
I'll keep on updating the shoot from Pearl city.
Regards,
S.Siby

'Villu' - Shaping up fast
The crew is currently in Tuticorin shooting some important sequences that include action scenes. Touted to be an action flick shot in a stylish manner by Prabhu Deva, the movie is produced in a grand manner by Ayngaran International and is expected for a release during Pongal.
Buzz is that the songs have been shot in a catchy manner by Prabhu Deva as he did in his earlier venture 'Pokkiri' with Vijay.
'Vijay fans can expect a thorough entertainer loaded with action and other commercial elements, said Prabhu Deva recently.
'Villu' is Vijay's 48th film and his next 'Vettaikkaran' is expected to go to the floors very soon.

Vijay's bodyguard!
As per the latest buzz, the movie will be the remake of the Dilip starrer Malayalam flick Bodyguard. Known for his comedy movies, Siddique also seems to have obtained Vijay's consent about Bodyguard. The movie's script, however, would undergo regionalization techniques
to be in tune with the interests of the actor's fan base. Siddique's association with Vijay is nothing new as he has already directed the actor for the hit movie Friends.
Ilayathalapathy Vijay’s 50th film details
Meanwhile, Vijay is planning to make his golden jubilee film for his home production under the guidance of his father S.A Chandrasekhar. The buzz is that the film will be directed by Malayalam director Siddique, who had earlier done Friends with him.
Siddique is a master story teller and is good at family entertainers. Siddique had earlier narrated the one line story to Vijay and his dad who immediately gave the green signal to the project.
Sources close to Siddique told sify.com- "The same subject will be tried out in Malayalam by the director first and then he will do the remake in Tamil making the necessary nativity changes."
As of now Siddique will make it as Bodyguard in Malayalam with Dileep and likely Bhavana as heroine. The shoot of the film which will be produced by Johnny Sagariga will begin in March 2009, and will be Dileep's July 4 release. Vijay's 50th film is slated for Pongal 2010.

Will Bodyguard remake be Vijay’s 50th film?
This is the most popular rumour circulating in Kollywood – Vijay's 50th film will be a remake of the Malayalam hit film Bodyguard which starred Dileep. It is heard that Bodyguard figured in the discussions between Vijay and Siddique! But it is too early to confirm anything in this
matter.
But as reported earlier, S.A. Chandrasekaran will produce Vijay's 50th film and famous Malayalam film director Siddique will direct it. This is not the first time that Siddique will direct Vijay – their combination rocked in the super hit Friends. Siddique and Vijay have a good sense of humour and love to do comedy subjects. But it is heard that Vijay prefers his 50th film to be the right mix of action and comedy, in line with his new image.
At present, Vijay is busy with Villu, directed by Prabhu Deva, a remake of the famous Bollywood blockbuster Soldier (Preity Zinta and Bobby Deol).

Vijay fans' protest on November 16
This was decided at a special meeting held recently; immediately a petition was submitted to Commissioner Sekar seeking permission to hold a protest, who sanctioned it after the fans promised him they will maintain law and order during the protest. Now, preparations are underway to hold a peaceful protest in Chepauk on November 16. This decision has been taken by Vijay’s fan club members and not by Vijay.
It may be recalled that during the Nadigar Sangam protest on November 1st, Vijay had requested his fans to send telegrams to the Prime Minister requesting him (PM) to stop the Lankan civil war. Then in the protest held by FEFSI, he thanked his fans for responding by sending thousands of telegrams per day and also requested them to send even more telegtams.
The entire film industry has been surprised at this move by Vijay's fans.
Siddique to direct Vijay's 50th film
(www.kollywoodtoday.com)
Vijay's 50th film will be directed by Siddique. He has earlier directed Vijay in Friends. This film will be produced by his father S A Chandrasekaran. Currently Vijay is acting in Villu. After this he will act in the film Vetaikaran to be produced by A V M Balasubramanian. Vijay will also act in a triple role which is to be directed by Gowtham Menon.
When asked him how he deals with stress, he says, "I spend time with family and friends. But like I said, with friends the topic is always cinema. I also watch all movies irrespective of their performance at the box office- oduna padam, odaadhga padam, everything. I love Mission Impossible so much that I watched it every opportunity I got. It's one of my favourite film till date. The theme song is still the ring tone of my mobile."
Siddique – the man behind Vijay's 50th film
Vijay's 50th film would be directed by Malayalam filmmaker Siddique, who had earlier worked with the actor in for the film 'Friends.'
According to sources, the movie would be produced by Vijay's father S.A. Chandrasekaran.
Vijay, who listened to the storyline, gave his consent immediately to act in the film, it is learnt.
Vijay is currently acting in the film 'Villu' which is directed by Prabhu Deva. He'll then be seen in a film titled 'Vettaikaran' followed by his 50th film which will be directed by Siddique.

What's cooking for Pongal?
The number of movies will be less, though prior to it everybody will claim that they will come out for Pongal.

One of the Kavithalaaya films either Arjun's Thiruvannamalai or Jeevan's Krishnaleelai is likely to make it. The buzz is that Aascar Films Siddharth- Tamannaah love story Ananda Thandavam is also slated for Pongal
