Finally, the suspense is over. Writer, director and choreographer Prabhu Deva, has titled his new Vijay film as Vil. Ayngaran International is the producers of the film, which will start rolling on June 7 at Palani.
There was a controversy when the makers of the film had initially wanted to title the film as Singam, but director Hari had registered the title and was in no mood to part with it.
Then there were rumours that it would be titled Singam Jwalikaruthu, which was also given up.
Vil is a very catchy title and an action adventure film that starts in a small remote village in Tamilnadu and travels to foreign land.
Prabhu Deva wants to make it as a racy entertainer, with all essential ingredients associated with a Vijay film. The others in the cast are Nayanthara, Vadivel, Prakash Raj and Biju Menon.
The film has top-of-the-range technicians- camera by Ravi Varman, Sunil is the art director and music by DSP (Devi Sri Prasad).
The shooting of the film will start in Palani on June 7, and from there the unit would proceed to Chalakudy in Kerala and come back to Karaikudi in Tamilnadu, for the rest of the first schedule which will be over by the end of June.
