The opinion poll conducted by the students of Loyola College to determine the most popular film actor in Tamil Nadu came out a surprise for many. The superstar of Kollywood, Rajnikanth and one of the h ighest paid actors in India took the fourth position.
The all time favorite and number one position was bagged by the late Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu and actor M.G. Ramachandran popularly known as MGR. the second spot went to thespian Sivaji Ganesan. Interestingly, the third place was bagged by Vijay pushing behind Rajni to the fourth position. Looks like Rajni position deteriorated this year as he had topped the list last year.
The most popular among the actresses was Saroja Devi followed by former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J. Jayalalitha. K.R. Vijaya and Jyothika bagged the third and fourth position respectively. Kushboo, the favorite among the actress, took the fifth position.
