Vijay and Nayantara in Villu

Prabhudeva started shooting for the film 'Villu' that brings Vijay and Nayantara for the first time even Without an inauguration function but with only a small pooja. Shooting was done for the scenes involving Vijay and Nayantara in Pollachi region.

Later Prabhudeva shot some scenes in Pazhani. As filming is taking at a rapid pace the film unit including Prabhudeva and Vijay watched 'Dasavataram' in Pazhani itself.

After that they shot the fight sequences between Vijay and the villain. For that they have gone to Karaikudi.

Cinematographer Ravivarman is shooting the scenes.

News is out that 'Villu' is the re-make of the Hindi film 'S oldier'.

Both Vijay and Prabhudeva have nothing to say about that. They have put heavy restrictions to prevent the stills of 'Villu' to be taken out.

Are they very cautious in not creating over expectations?

இப்போதெல்லாம் சினிமாவில் நடிக்க வரும்போதே முதல்வர் நாற்காலிக் கனவுடன்தான் வருகிறார்கள் நடிகர்கள் என முன்பு ஒருமுறை டாக்டர் ராமதாஸ் கமெண்ட் அடித்திருந்தார்.

நேற்றைய மாலைப் பத்திரிகைகளைப் பார்த்தவர்கள் அனைவரும் ராமதாஸின் கூற்றை ஒப்புக் கொள்ளும் நிலைக்கு வந்துவிட்டிருப்பார்கள்.

பிரபலமான அந்த மாலை நாளிதழில் பெரிய அளவுகளில் பல வண்ண விளம்பரங்கள் இடம் பெற்றிருந்தன. இவை அனைத்துமே இரு நடிகர்களுக்காக வழங்கப்பட்டிருந்தன.

ஒருவர் நடிகராகவும் அரசியல்வாதியாகவும் டபுள் ரோல் செய்து கொண்டிருக்கும் விஜய்காந்த். மற்றொருவர் மாவட்டம் தோறும் இப்போதே ரசிகர் மன்ற தலைமை அலுவலகம் கட்டிக் கொண்டிருக்கிற விஜய்.

இந்த இரண்டு விளம்பரங்களுமே கட்சிக்காரர்கள் மற்றும் ரசிகர்களின் பெயர்களில் கொடுக்கப்பட்டிருந்தன.

அந்த மாலை நாளிதழில் கால்பக்க வண்ண விளம்பரம் தர பல ஆயிரம் ரூபாய் கட்டணம் செலுத்த வேண்டும். அதுவும் முன் கூட்டியே செலுத்த வேண்டும்.

விஜய்காந்தாவது அரசியலில் இருக்கிறார், ஏதோ ஒரு நம்பிக்கையில் அவரது கட்சி நிர்வாகிகள் அவ்வளவு பணம் செலழித்து விளம்பரம் கொடுத்திருக்கிறார்கள் என்று எடுத்துக் கொள்வோம்.

ஆனால் விஜய்-

இன்னும் 50 படங்களைக் கூட தாண்டவில்லை. ஆனால் இப்போதே அவருக்கும் தனிக்கட்சி, தனிக் கொடி, எதிர்கால முதல்வர் கனவுகள். (அது சரி... முதல்வராக முழுமையான நடிகராக இருந்தே ஆக வேண்டிய கட்டாயமிருக்கிறதா என்ன!?)

SA Chandrasekhar - A proud father

IndiaGlitz [Tuesday, September 30, 2008] Veteran director SA Chandrasekhar is happy with his son and popular actor Vijay who is close on completing a noteworthy number of 50 films in the industry. Happy at the way his son's career has shaped up in the industry, he is planning to produce Vijay's 50th film. “It will be a milestone for Vijay. Our production house (VV Creations) will be happy to be associated with the film, but nothing has been finalized as of now,” preens the proud dad. Speaking about Vijay's decision to use his fan clubs as a platform to carry out social activities, he says 'there is nothing wrong in it'. “They are not fan clubs. Vijay has renamed them as welfare associations. He believes that fan clubs are not just for boosting the popularity of the hero. He wants them to be socially responsible and do their part even if it is tad less for the welfare of the people. I am really proud of him,” he says.

`Kuruvi' flies high

Vijay starrer `Kuruvi' has managed a 150-day run across theatres in Tamilnadu. Produced by Udhayanidhi Stalin and directed by Dharani, the movie featuring Vijay, Trisha and Suman in the lead roles, witnessed mixed reviews at the box office.

However, thanks to the racy script and Vijay's popularity among the masses, the movie opened big and gradually settled down to do a decent business at the box office.

The cast and crew thanked the film-buffs for helping the movie complete a 150-day run. According to director Dharani, "I thank the producer Udhayanidhi Stalin, actor Vijay and the rest of my crew for the successes".

Post `Gilli', Vijay-Dharani-Trisha and music composer Vidyasagar tag teamed for 'Kuruvi'. Fortunately, they succeeded in their attempt.

Vijay beats Rajnikanth

The opinion poll conducted by the students of Loyola College to determine the most popular film actor in Tamil Nadu came out a surprise for many. The superstar of Kollywood, Rajnikanth and one of the h ighest paid actors in India took the fourth position.

The all time favorite and number one position was bagged by the late Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu and actor M.G. Ramachandran popularly known as MGR. the second spot went to thespian Sivaji Ganesan. Interestingly, the third place was bagged by Vijay pushing behind Rajni to the fourth position. Looks like Rajni position deteriorated this year as he had topped the list last year.

The most popular among the actresses was Saroja Devi followed by former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J. Jayalalitha. K.R. Vijaya and Jyothika bagged the third and fourth position respectively. Kushboo, the favorite among the actress, took the fifth position.

Vijay off to Bangkok to fight it out

Vijay, director Prabhu Deva and a couple of fighters left for Bangkok to shoot a exclusive action scene along with Chinese fighters for Ayngaran International's Villu. The crew left for Bangkok last week and the hero and heroine camped in Pukhet, an island famous for mega entertainment.

The film is almost completed, and is said to have come out well. These days Vijay keeps on praising Prabhu Deva and his commitment and dedication to his work. Three more songs of the film are being planned and it will be in some exotic foreign location.

The director also plans to shoot one song in Singapore.

Villu will be ready for release for Pongal 2009, on January 14, Vijay and Prabhu Deva's lucky day when their super hit Pokkiri released two years back.

Vijay repeats MGR film title

It has become a trend to use yesteryear hit movie titles like Dhanush's Pollaadhavan and Padikkaathavan, Karthik's Aayirathil Oruvan and now Vijay's Vettaikkaaran. This title is lifted from Vettaikkaaran, the 60s MGR hit.

This film, Vijay's 50th, will be directed by debutant Babu, a former associate of director Dharani. The female lead is touted to be Asin. Dharani and Vijay have teamed up earlier to give the superhit Ghilli and the recently-released Kuruvi. The Asin-Vijay pair has also been very successful at the box-office with hits like Sivakasi and Pokkiri.

Vijay, who is currently shooting for Prabhu Deva's Villu with Nayantara, has also appeared in a 20 minute cameo in his father S.A.Chandrasekar's film Pandhayam starring Nitin Sathya and Sindhu Tolaani. The music of the film was launched yesterday.

Villu Songs New Photo Stills - More

Ilayathalapathy Vijay and the unit of Prabhu Deva’s Villu, produced by Ayngaran International are leaving for Switzerland on Thursday night (July 31).

The unit will be in Switzerland for nearly a month as they will be canning two songs and some scenes. As per unconfirmed reports story wise the hero goes abroad in second half of the film to track down the killers of his father.

Ravi Varman is the cameraman of this action adventure film, while music is by Devi Sri Prasad. Earlier the unit wanted to shoot in France, but due to certain technical problems it had to be changed at the last minute.

கதையின் நாயகனாக வரும் பிருதிவிராஜ், மெகா ஸ்டார் மம்மூட்டி ரசிகர் மன்றத்தின் மலப்புரம் மாவட்டத் தலைவராக இருக்கிறார். குடும்பச் சூழ்நிலை காரணமாக அவர் வாடகை ஜீப் ஓட்டி தாய் மற்றும் மூன்று சகோதரிகளைக் காப்பாற்றி வருகிறார். பிருதிவிராஜின் மாமா வசதி படைத்தவர். அவரது மகள் சாஜிராவை பிருதிவிராஜ் திருமணம் செய்ய நினைக்கும்போது, மாமா அதற்கு முட்டுக்கட்டை போட்டுவிடுகிறார். இந்த நிலையில் நண்பனின் திருமணவிழாவில் ரசியா என்ற பெண்ணை பிருதிவிராஜ் சந்திக்க நேர்கிறது. தான் ஏற்கெனவே பார்த்த சுனந்தா என்ற பெண்தான் ரசியா என்று நினைத்து பிருதிவிராஜ் அவளை மணக்க விரும்புகிறார். பிருதிவிராஜின் மாமாவோ, பிருதிவிராஜிடம் எதுவும் சொல்லாமல், ரசியா குடும்பத்தைச் சந்தித்து திருமண வாக்குறுதி கொடுத்து விடுகிறார். திருமண வேளையில் மணப்பெண் சுனந்தா அல்ல, ரசியா என்று தெரிந்ததும் பிருதிவிராஜ் திருமணத்துக்கு மறுத்து விடுகிறார். வேறு வழியில்லாமல் ரசியாவைத் தன் ஒரே மகனுக்குத் திருமணம் செய்து வைக்கிறார் மாமா. இதற்கிடையே சுனந்தாவுக்கு ஆயிரத்தெட்டு பிரச்னைகள். தந்தை இறந்து விட்ட நிலையில், நோய்‌வாய்ப்பட்ட தாயுடன் வசிக்கும் சுனந்தாவை தனது மகனுக்குக் கட்டிவைக்க நினைக்கிறார் வில்லன் திலகன். சுனந்தாவுக்கு திலகன் மாமா முறை என்றாலும் இந்தத் திருமணம் சுனந்தாவுக்குப் பிடிக்கவில்லை. இந்நிலையில், சுனந்தாவை எப்படியாவது கைப்பிடிக்க நினைக்கும் பிருதிவிராஜ், அதற்காக தனது அபிமான நட்சத்திரம் மம்மூட்டியிடம் ஆலோசனை பெற்று, அவரது உதவியோடு சுனந்தாவை எப்படிக் காப்பாற்றுகிறார் என்பதுதான் கதை. `ஒன் வே டிக்கெட்' படத்தில் ஒரு மெகா ஸ்டாருக்கும், அவரது ரசிகர்களுக்கும் இடையேயுள்ள ஆழ்ந்த உறவை அழகாகச் சித்திரித்துக் காட்டியிருக்கிறார்கள். மம்மூட்டியின் படங்கள் ரிலீஸாகிற போது, பிருதிவிராஜ், நம்மூர் சராசரி ரசிகன் ரேஞ்சுக்கு, தியேட்டர்களில் தோரணங்கள், பேனர்கள் கட்டுவது, தனது ஜீப்பில் மைக் வைத்து விளம்பரம் செய்வது, கட்அவுட்களுக்கு பாலாபிஷேகம் செய்வது, மன்ற நிர்வாகிகளை அழைத்துக் கூட்டம் போடுவது போன்றவற்றைக் குறைவில்லாமல் செய்கிறார். தனது மாவட்டத்தில் உள்ள தியேட்டர் ஒன்றில் மம்மூட்டி நடித்த படம் நூறு நாட்களுக்கு மேல் ஓட, அதன் வெற்றிவிழாவுக்கு மம்மூட்டியை அழைத்து வந்து தூள் கிளப்புகிறார் பிருதிவிராஜ். அடிக்கடி படப்பிடிப்பு செட்களில் மம்மூட்டியைச் சந்தித்து ரசிகர் மன்றம் குறித்தும், சமூக சேவைகள் குறித்தும் ஆலோசனை கேட்கிறார். மக்களுக்குப் பயன்படும் வண்ணம் ரசிகர் மன்றங்கள் இருக்க வேண்டும் என வலியுறுத்தும் மம்மூட்டி, தனக்குப் பிடித்த ஃபுட்பால் போன்ற விளையாட்டுகளையும் ரசிகர் மன்றம் மூலம் உற்சாகப்படுத்துகிறார். இப்படி ஒரு மிகப்பெரிய நடிகருக்கும், அவரது ரசிகர்களுக்கும் இடையே ஊடாடும் உறவை மிக அழகாக இந்தப் படத்தில் சித்திரித்திருக்கிறார்கள். அதோடு காதல், குடும்ப சென்டிமெண்ட், சஸ்பென்ஸ் என்ற நாலாவித சுவைகளுக்கும் இந்தப் படத்தில் பஞ்சமில்லை. `ஒன் வே டிக்கெட்' படம் ரஜினி, விஜய் காம்பினேஷனில் தமிழில் வெளிவந்தால், தமிழக அரசியல் வரலாற்றில் அது புதுப்புது அத்தியாயங்களை எழுத வாய்ப்பிருக்கிறது என்கிறார்கள் ரஜினி, விஜய் ரசிகர்கள். எப்படி? கடந்த சில ஆண்டுகளாகவே சூப்பர் ஸ்டார் ரஜினி அவரது ரசிகர்களை சந்திக்கவோ, கருத்துக்களைப் பரிமாறிக்கொள்ளவோ இல்லை. `இந்த நிலையில் இப்படியொரு படம் வெளிவந்தால் ரஜினிக்கும் ரசிகர்களுக்கும் இடையே உள்ள உறவு மீண்டும் இறுக்கமாகி உயிர் பெறும், தங்களுக்கும் அது உத்வேகம் தரும் என நம்புகிறார்கள் ரஜினி ரசிகர்கள். ரஜினிக்குப் பிறகு சினிமாவுக்கு வந்த விஜயகாந்த், சரத்குமார் போன்றவர்கள் எல்லாம் அரசியலில் புகுந்து கலக்கி வரும் நிலையில், முப்பதாண்டு காலம் ரஜினி ரசிகர்களாகவும், மன்ற பொறுப்பாளர்களாகவும் இருக்கும் பல ஆயிரம் பேர், ரஜினி கட்சி ஆரம்பிக்க மாட்டாரா என ஏங்கி ஏங்கியே இளைத்துப் போனார்கள். ஒவ்வொரு தேர்தலுக்கு முன்னும் சூப்பர் ஸ்டாரிடம் இருந்து, `அப்படியொரு அழைப்பு' வராதா என அங்கலாய்த்தபடி அவர்கள் இருக்கிறார்கள். சூப்பர் ஸ்டாரைத் தூண்டி விட சரியான ஆள் கிடைத்தால் அவர் கண்டிப்பாக அரசியலில் இறங்குவார் என்பது அவர்களது கணிப்பு. அவர்களது கனவை நனவாக்கும் முதல்படியாக ரஜினி நடிக்கப்போகும் புதிய படம் அமையும் என்பது ரசிகர்களின் எண்ணமாக இருக்கிறது. அடுத்ததாக விஜய்! ஏற்கெனவே அரசியல் ஆசை வந்து விட்ட விஜய், கொடி அறிமுகப்படலம் ஒன்றை நடத்தி அவரது அரசியல் ஆசைக்கு அச்சாரம் போட்டு விட்டார். விஜய்யை கண்டிப்பாக அரசியல் களத்தில் இறக்கிவிட, அவரது தந்தை சந்திரசேகரும் உறுதியாக இருக்கிறார். இது விஜய் ரசிகர்களை ஏகத்துக்கும் உற்சாகப்படுத்தி வருகிறது. தியேட்டருக்கு வரும் ரஜினியின் படங்களாகட்டும், விஜய்யின் படங்களாகட்டும் வசூலில் றெக்கை கட்டிப் பறக்கின்றன. இந்த நிலையில், ரஜினியை அரசியலுக்கு அழைத்து வர விஜய்யால் மட்டுமே முடியும் என்று ரஜினி ரசிகர்கள் நம்புகிறார்கள். அதற்கு, `ஒன் வே டிக்கெட்' படம் கண்டிப்பாக பிள்ளையார் சுழி போடும் என்று அவர்கள் கருதுகிறார்கள். ``கூச்ச சுபாவம் உள்ள விஜய்க்கு அரசியல் பலம் சேர்க்க சூப்பர் ஸ்டாரின் தோழமை உதவும். அதே சமயம் சூப்பர் ஸ்டாரும் அரசியல் களமிறங்க அது வாய்ப்பாக அமையும். யார் கண்டது? சூப்பர் ஸ்டாரும், இளைய தளபதியும் இணைந்து ஓர் அரசியல் கட்சியை உருவாக்கினால் கூட அது தமிழகத்தின் வரலாற்றையே மாற்றிப்போடும்'' என்கிறார்கள் அவர்கள். ரஜினி, விஜய் நடிக்கப்போகும் புதுப்படத்தை இயக்குவதில் அமீர் மிக ஆர்வமாக இருப்பதாகச் சொல்கிறார்கள். ஏற்கெனவே ஒகேனக்கல் பிரச்னையில் ரஜினியை ஆதரித்துப் பேசி அவரது மனதில் பச்சக்கென ஒட்டிக்கொண்டவர் அமீர். அதுபோல அமீரின் `பருத்திவீரன்' படத்தை மனம் திறந்து ரஜினி பாராட்டி இருக்கிறார். இந்த நிலையில் ரஜினியை வைத்து புதுமையான ஒரு படம் பண்ண வேண்டும் என்ற எண்ணம் அமீருக்குள் ஓடிக் கொண்டிருக்கிறது. `யோகி' பட வேலைகள் முடிந்த பிறகு, இதற்கான ஆயத்தங்களில் அமீர் இறங்க வாய்ப்பிருக்கிறது'' என்கின்றனர் அவர்கள். என்றாலும் இந்தச் செய்திகளெல்லாம் சம்பந்தப்பட்டவர்களிடமிருந்து வெளிப்படையாக ஏதும் வராததால், இதில் எந்த அளவுக்கு உண்மை இருக்கிறது என்று தெரியவில்லை. என்றாலும் ரஜினி _ விஜய் காம்பினேஷனில் `ஒன் வே டிக்கெட்' படம் தமிழில் வெளிவந்தால், அது அரசியலிலும், சினிமாவிலும் புத்தம்புது ஒளியைப் பாய்ச்சிவிடும் என்பது மட்டும் நிஜம்.

Actor Vijay is playing the lead role in a movie titled 'MGR', directed by Perarasu. Hold your horses and don't jump to conclusions. This is a film within a film.

Vijay's dad S. A. Chandrasekhar is directing a film called 'Pandhayam' with Nithin Sathya donning the lead role. Vijay will be playing himself in the film as a guest performer. Since he plays himself, he will be depicted as though he is shooting for a film under the direction of Perarasu. And that film's title is 'MGR'.

The scene was shot in Chennai recently. Nithin Sathya, the hero of 'Pandhayam' plays a die-hard Vijay fan in the film and so goes to see Vijay shooting for a movie. Prakash Raj and Sindhu Thulani also are in the cast. Vijay Anthony has scored the music.

It may be recalled that Vijay had earlier acted in a guest role in S A Chandrasekhar's 'Sukkran'.

Vijay is meanwhile busy with 'Villu', directed by Prabhudeva and the shooting for the film, produced by Ayngaran Internationals is on at a rapid pace.

அதிரவைக்கும் காட்சிகளுக்காக அதிரம்பள்ளிக்குச் செல்லவில்லை. மாறாக, ரசிகர்களை குளிரவைக்கும் காட்சிக்காகவே செல்கிறது.

ஆம், அங்கே நயன்தாராவின் அருவிக் குளியல் காட்சி எடுக்கப்படவுள்ளது.

இதுபோன்ற காட்சி எடுக்க வேண்டும் என்று ஏற்கெனவே 'வில்லு' படக்குழுவால் திட்டமேதும் எடுக்கப்படவில்லை.

ஆனால், 'குசேலன்', 'சத்யம்' ஆகிய படங்களில் தாராளமயமாக்கல் கொள்கையை நயன்தாரா கடைப்பிடித்துள்ளதால், அத்தகையை காட்சிகள் 'வில்லு'வில் இடம்பெறாமல் போய்விடக்கூடாது என்று அக்கறையினாலேயே நயனில் அருவிக் குளியல் காட்சி சேர்க்கப்பட்டுள்ளதாக நியாப்படுத்துகிறது, வில்லு படக்குழு.

இயற்கை எழில் சூழ்ந்த அதிரம்பள்ளி அருவியில் பாடல் காட்சி ஒன்றை எடுப்பதாக திட்டம். நயன்தாராவை நனையவிட்டு ரசிகர்களை 'ஹீட்'டாக்கும் இந்த 'கிக்' திட்டம் முன்பு வில்லுவின் ப்ராஜெக்டில் இல்லை.

குசேலன், சத்யம் படட்ஙகளில் நயன்தாரா கடைவிரித்திருக்கும் கிளாமரில் கிலியாகி, நாம் பின்தங்கிவிடக் கூடாதே என்ற எச்சரிக்கையில், பிறகு சேர்த்துக் கொள்ளப்பட்டதாம் இந்தப் பாடல் காட்சி.

Glam Nayan in 'Villu'

The shooting for 'Villu' starring Vijay and Nayan is going on at a brisk pace.

Nayantara danced with Vijay to a song sequence in Sivakasi. This is her first film opposite Vijay. Earlier, Nayan was to have acted as Vijay's heroine in 'Kuruvi' but Trisha had her way and grabbed the role.

'Villu' shooting is happening at Pollachi and Pazhani. Nayantara has a homely role in this. That is one reason for signing her on.

After seeing the stills of Nayantara in 'Kuselan' and 'Sathyam,' the 'Villu' crew went into a panic. Nayan dripped of glamour, even to the extent of donning a two piece. So, won't her fans feel betrayed if she was not shown even in a glimpse of her glamorous best?

The 'Villu' team set about transforming Nayan from homely to glamorous. One important scene is to take place at Kerala's Adirampalli Falls where a wet Nayan shall let people's imaginations run haywire.

IT was just three years after his first film Apoorva Ragangal. The year being 1978. And Kalaipuli S Dhanu, a distributor then, had acquired distribution rights for Rajini’s Bhairavi.

In a bid to perk up the movie’s sales, he christened Rajinikanth ‘Great Superstar’ in the film banners and posters, thus becoming the first one ever to refer to Rajini as the Superstar. Later, in the 1980s, after Billa’s release, Rajini actually made the climb to superstardom and has been referred to by that title ever since.

Now some of the younger actors who want to attain the dizzying heights Rajini has reached, have started using the title Superstar.

Whether these have found favour with the Superstar is an altogether different issue. Even in Sivaji, Rajini’s last, Vivek’s dialogue against youngsters mouthing punch dialogues, was perceived as an indirect criticism from Rajini’s camp against Vijay and Simbhu.

Vijay To Team Up With Perarasu Again

These days Vijay is working very hard on Prabhudeva-directed 'Villu' to make it a surefire hit.

The sources close to the leading young hero reveal that he is not taking things lightly. He is very particular about churning out continuous hits and hence he is already looking beyond 'Villu'.While Madesh, the producer of Vijay's hit film 'Madura' is constantly in touch with the star trying to get his nod for his next film, Vijay appears to be keen to do another film with Perarasu, who gave him hit films like 'Tirupachi' and 'Sivakasi'.

Vijay reportedly expressed his desire to do his next film with Perarasu and is said to have asked the director to come and meet him with an ideal storyline. Obliging Vijay's request immediately, Perarasu appears to be already on the job, getting down to sketching the storyline for Vijay's film every evening after the shooting of his current film 'Tiruvannamalai' that stars 'action king' Arjun.
