Actor Vijay's fans have built a bus shelter costing about one lakh rupees at Pathirikuppam near Cuddalore. Vijay came yesterday evening to inaugurate it. Ever since news leaked that Vijay would be coming there, crowds gathered to have a glimpse of the actor.
Both Ilaya Thalapathi fans and public were eagerly waiting to see him. The situation became unmanageable when Vijay arrived at the spot. After seeing Vijay's car, the mob surrounded it with chorus of Ilaya Thalapathi Vaazga, Ezhai Thozhan Vijay Vaazgha.
Vijay couldn't get out of his car since the crowd almost surrounded him and he had to wait in the car itself for more than 10 minutes. Finally, police came and tried to disperse the crowd. But it turned futile. Police had no option but to lathi charge the crowd.
Vijay got out of the car. People who were waiting for long were deeply disappointed since Ilaya Thalapathy spoke only a few words thanking the fan club and public for doing such good work for the benefit of the public.
Vijay opened the bus shelter and just whizzed away.
