Ilayathalapathy Vijay is happy with the way his Kuruvi is progressing. The story is racy as there is never a dull moment in Dharani's script. Vijay knows that ultimately Tamil super hero films are all character driven, and he is taking extra care to see that the character he plays in the film clicks with the masses.

According to Vijay watchers what went wrong with ATM, was the film lacked a villain and it was basically a story of "good" Vijay versus "bad" Vijay which his audiences could not stomach. Now in Kuruvi, the buzz is that the villain character played by Suman is strong and the conflict with the hero has been worked out in a realistic way. Last week Ashish Vidyarthi too has been added to the cast of the film.

Vidyasagar's music is said to be a major highlight. The latest we hear is that Ilayathalapathy is going to dance with the rap singer from Malaysia Yogi.B, the pop singer who made a sensational debut in Tamil films by dancing and singing the remix song Engeyum Eppodhum…. with Dhanush in Polladhavan. That one song in Kuruvi where Vijay and Yogi dances together is sure to have his fans in a frenzy!

Kuruvi has completed a large chunk of its shoot in Chennai city locales and studios, outdoor in Malaysia's never- seen- before locations. Next week the shoot of the film moves to a quarry in Salem, and from there to Theni and later they will be shooting near Pune. The film is said to be Vijay's big summer release in May/June.
