Superstars and their emotionally intense stunt scenes

Think of those fight sequences that have thrilled and excited you. No doubt, there will be many. But try and think of those fights that have made you clench your fists, screw your lips and roll your eyes more intensely than the hero himself. When you have felt restless in your own seat, transported onto the screen as the hero himself, brooking no mercy at the perpetrator of peace. Such fights are very few, fights with emotion, passion and of course some very heavy punches. We look at some of Tamil cinema’s emotionally intense fight scenes performed by our Super stars over the last few decades…

Ghilli

This must qualify as the shortest stunt scene in Tamil cinema. Prakash Raj is this baddie against whom no one stands up and when he tries to force Trisha into liking him, appears a man with a hood, jogging along. The entire town watching, Vijay casually jogs up to Prakash Raj, with little idea of how big a monster he was looking at. The director builds up the scene perfectly for a huge pandemonium, only to finish it off in style with the hero delivering a thundering blow on the villain. What followed was one of the most exciting chase sequences in Tamil Cinema. A blow it was, had the impact of 20, pushing the movie to silver jubilee.
