King of opening!

Among the Diwali releases early indications are that Vijay's Sivakasi is the clear winner. The film has taken an extraordinary opening all over Tamilnadu and Kerala (237 prints). The trade is asking- "Will it be a Ghilli or Tirupachi?
It is early days, but Vijay fans who saw the film are appreciating it. In a theatre at Chengalpet near Chennai, shows started at 6.30 am on Diwali day and the last show was held around midnight with all shows Housefull. Serpentine queues were seen in front of theatres screening the film and the premises had a festival mood with thousands of youngsters trying to get a ticket!
And in Kerala, Sivakasi has taken a bumper opening, as big as a Mohanlal film In Ernakulam, Sarita and Savita (combined seating capacity 1787) all four shows have reported 100 percent collections.
Meanwhile Vikram's Majaa also has taken a good opening but the film carries mixed reports. Dhanush's Athu Oru Kana Kalam is lukewarm at box-office.
