Sivakasi' gets Diwali blessings

The winner takes it all. And 'Sivakasi' is the chosen one among this year's Diwali releases. It had an extraordinary opening all over Tamilnadu and Kerala with 237 prints. Now, the trade is sure that the film will become a huge hit.

Hero Vijay's fans seem to love the film. A theatre at Chengalpet witnessed houseful in all shows on Diwali day. It run to a packed hall from 6.30 A.M till midnight. And there was festive mood around the theaters with thousands of youngsters clambering for tickets.

The story is no different in Kerala too. It had a great opening like that of Mohanlal's film. The theatres like Ernakulam, Sarita and Savita reported 100 percent collections in all the four shows.

Meanwhile, Vikram's film 'Maja' received mixed response, though it had a good opening. Whereas, Dhanush's film 'Athu Oru Kana Kalam' failed to show any sign of life at the box office.

Well, 'Sivakasi' is the clear winner this Diwali. And Vijay is the winning hero.
