The timing was bad, Vijay's going to Pondicherry to distribute sewing machines and other gadgets to the needy, an even organized by his Fan Clubs Association.
As the Ilaya Thalapthi entered, his fans welcomed his with goshams, banners and festoons. Machines were already arranged and kept in order for distribution. However, as Vijay started distributing them, the police swooped on the organizers and stopped the distribution. It's against law as the code of conduct of the elections had come into effect.
Vijay was no contestant in the elections but everyone knows that he has an inclination against a certain party. Was this the reason the police descended there at the distribution event?
Vijay had no qualms, he smiled, acknowledged the action of police, waved to his fans and wished them all the best and left.
