It was quid pro quo where Vijay and Surya were concerned. Vijay had attended the music launch of the film ‘Paruthi Veeran’ which was the launching pad as hero for Karthi, Surya’s younger brother.
Directed by Amir of ‘Raam’ fame, it has Priyamani paired with the debutant hero. Surya had called up Vijay and asked him if he could come for the function. And was touched when Vijay told him that he didn’t have to be so formal and that he would surely be there.
Vijay did attend the function, and had praise heaped on him by Surya. A calm, non-interfering actor, who minds his own business, said Surya rightly. And when Vijay’s father, director S A Chandrasekhar’ s film ‘Nenjirukkum Varai’ had its audio launch, it was Surya who reciprocated Vijay’s gesture by attending the function.
