Vijay has been criticized as doing similar type of roles and having no change of get-ups, but he seems to be traveling at rocket speed in Rajini's route. After Rajini, he seems the sure bet for people from theater owners to popcorn vendors to make a decent sum of profit. Vijay Vijay,Shirya

After 'Friends,' producer Appachan gave Vijay advance for his next film. After dragging on for years, he finally gave Appachan call sheet and now 'Azhagiya Thamizh Magan' is in the making. Appachan's wait has not been in vain and his patience has been rewarded.

In the history of Vijay's films, 'Azhagiya Thamizh Magan' has been sold for a record 25 crores. This humongous sum has been paid by the company Pyramid Sai Meera.

It is a known fact that Vijay's 'Pokkiri' had a great run in Kerala, and even in its second run, it is doing well in Thiruvananthapuram. So it has been decided to release 'Azhagiya Thamizh Magan' all over Kerala. Vijay fans win Andhra will also get to see the film.

'Azhagiya Thamizh Magan' is to be released in Tamilnadu, Andhra and Kerala, so 250 prints are to be made. As far as Vijay's films are concerned, this is also a record!
