Vettaikaaran shooting commenced

Two days after a fire broke out in floor number seven at the AVM Studio, where a set for the Vijay-Anushka starrer Vettaikaran had been erected, the shoot of the film has once again commenced in outdoor locations.

One song and certain scenes are being picturised in various locations, in and around Chennai. Says producer AVM Balasubramaniam, "We were shooting some action scenes when the set on floor number seven was gutted due to a fire in the night. Now, we are creating similar sets on floor number eight. And until the new sets are ready, we will finish all the outdoor work."

The shooting of the film is likely to get over by the end of this month, after which two songs will be shot abroad. He adds, "We are trying for a Diwali release, on October 17."
