Vijay's upcoming movie Vettaikkaran with Anushka as his love interest is expected to release during Deepavali. Gist from the director's table:
"According to the director, the fact that he is doing his first film with mass hero is a dream come true after seeing Vijay's work in earlier film ""Gilli"" and ""Kuruvi"", the director approached the actor with a script which he liked it and that's how Vettaikkaran was made..He briefly outlines the story where in Vettaikkaran the protagonist fights against the evils in the society without allowing the law to sleep."
"Much incisively the director also mentions about scenes with Vijay which involves horse riding, where he appears riding a white horse resembling much alike in the get-ups of MGR. Much fascinated with the get-ups, he has included the horse-riding sequences in more scenes. And he also mentions about Vijay Antony's work in the film where the songs will be truly a celebrated stills to watch out for."
