Only in B and C centres, the contest is between Vijay's 'Azhagiya Thamizh Magan' and Surya's 'Vel.' But in Chennai city, it is different.

For Deepavali, 2 mega Hindi films are getting released today. One is Shahrukh Khan's 'Om Shanti Om' and the other is director Sanjay Leela Bansali's 'Saawariya.'

Shahrukh Khan, the producer of 'Om Shanti Om' and Sony, the producer of 'Saawariya' have each spent a massive 5 crores on publicity alone. This does not take into account the amount spent by corporate partners in publicity like Pantaloons etc.

The reservations in Chennai for 'Azhagiya Thamizh Magan' and 'Om Shanti Om' are an equal footing. There's also a contest in America, UK and Australia to see who will lead the race – Vijay or Shahrukh Khan.

Among the Tamil releases yesterday, 'Azhagiya Thamizh Magan,' 'Vel' and 'Polladhavan' recorded full house. But to see which film leads the rest, we have to wait for a week.
