Vijay-Path

It’s been five days since the start of the inaugural Indian Premier League and cricket lovers across the world have witnessed a heady mix of the game and loads of glamour. If players like Mike Hussey and Brendon McCullum have won over the fans of their respective sides, stars like Shah Rukh Khan and Preity Zinta have lent the filmi touch, making the billion dollar event potently explosive.

And now it’s the turn of Tamil actor Vijay to join the bandwagon in front of his home crowd when Chennai Super Kings take on Mumbai Indians at the Chepauk today. Vijay is being touted as the next superstar of the Tamil film industry and enjoys tremendous fan following among the movie going crowd here.

“It will be really interesting to watch Kings play the Indians. The IPL has attracted a vast audience and I will be rooting for Dhoni and his men,” said the star ambassador of the Chennai outfit. He's already bowled over by the easy going nature of Indian ODI skipper MS Dhoni and is looking forward to memorable experience with him while the tournament is on. “Dhoni is a super star and a humble person. Meeting him was a great experience. I am eager to interact with him in the coming days also,” he added.
